Multiplayer Party Mode

Join a room with 2-8 players and compete to see who's the best word builder! A fun, social way to play LexiLayers.

How It Works

• Join or create a game room
• Wait for other players (2-8 total)
• Everyone plays on the same board simultaneously
• Chat with other players during the game
• Highest score wins!

Challenge Rounds

Every 5th round (rounds 5, 10, 15, and 20) is a Challenge Round! During a challenge:

• All players temporarily play on the current leader's board
• Try to beat the leader's score for that round
• Players who beat the leader earn a bonus:
  • Round 5: +50 points
  • Round 10: +75 points
  • Round 15: +100 points
  • Round 20: +150 points
• After the challenge, everyone returns to their own board

Tiebreakers

When two or more players finish with the exact same score, it's broken down like this:

1. Highest single word — whoever scored the most points on their single best word ranks/counts as the winner
2. If that's also tied, everyone still tied is credited as a co-winner for stats and achievements. The results screen still needs to show a single ordered list, though, so a tie that reaches this point is broken alphabetically by username purely for display order — it doesn't change who's counted as having won

Rewards

• All players earn coins based on score (10%)
• 1st place bonus: 100 coins
• 2nd place bonus: 50 coins
• 3rd place bonus: 25 coins
